She is one of the first in the U.S. to offer dog owners the abiliity to exercise their dogs on an underwater treadmill for fitness & strength building. Working in England, she routinely saw hydro-therapy exercise & rehabilitation centres for dogs. Moving to Ohio, she was surprised to learn the nearest such facility was near Cleveland! Our need, for this in the Miami Valley, prompted her to import the first and only canine underwater treadmill into the tri-state area. Stories about her pioneering work have been featured in the Dayton Daily News & Cincinnati Enquirer, on local television, in British newspapers, British and Irish magazines and on Irish radio. Carmen authors “Tread on Me” forThe Association of Canine Water Therapy newsletter. For the University of Dayton, she has authored & teaches an adult education course on animal wellness. Carmen’s experience as an Air Force health care provider, is accompanied by certification as a Nursing Assistant life-skills trainer, coursework in animal communication and animal health care plus over 5 years experience operating the Canine Underwater Treadmill. An award-winning educator, Carmen also conducts workshops and lectures, having trained over 400 pet owners in England, Ireland, Ohio & Michigan to use the ancient techniques of Health-full Touch.
Carmen Kolz is an acclaimed professional, involved internationally in the healing & teaching Arts for over 30 years. Beginning her 6th year, she is the most experienced canine exercise specialist in the United States.
